The International Federation of Aromatherapists (IFA) is the longest established organisation for professional aromatherapists in the world. Originally formed in 1985 to act as an independent representative body for the profession of aromatherapy it is a registered charity supported by its members and friends.
Since its formation, the Federation has been at the forefront of developments within the aromatherapy profession and pioneered the use of aromatherapy in hospitals, hospices, special care units and general practice. IFA practitioners are also practising medical staff. We all work hard to set and maintain the highest standards in Aromatherapy around the world
